Cosmetic treatments help keep your skin looking glowy and refreshed, but they may provide other benefits too. In fact, Americans who opt for cosmetic treatments to fight skin imperfections, such as wrinkles, report higher self-esteem levels.
But can you continue enjoying your favorite cosmetic treatments while staying safe during the pandemic?
Yes, you can. Below, our experts at ENVY Skin Clinic explain the measures we take to keep our patients in our Glendale and Sherman Oaks, California, offices protected.
How personal protective equipment (PPE) is used to keep you safe
All of our personnel use gloves and face masks throughout each consultation. We also ask our clients to wear a facemask and use hand sanitizer when entering the building.
Surgical masks prevent the spread of the virus by filtering large particles and reducing exposure to saliva droplets and respiratory secretions.
Consider bringing your own pair of latex gloves too. However, keep in mind that the virus can stick to latex gloves, so if you do choose to wear gloves, don’t skip the hand sanitizer.
Safety measures to protect you during the COVID-19 pandemic
So what will be different when you visit our office to get cosmetic treatments? Our staff takes the following measure to help keep everyone safe from the virus:
- Screening patients over the phone based on symptoms
- Offering online consultations
- Requiring the use of face masks when entering the office
- Requiring the use of hand sanitizer
- Disinfecting all surfaces and tools after each consult or treatment
- Positioning chairs in the waiting room at least six feet apart to encourage social distancing
- Removing magazines and brochures from the waiting room
If you’re experiencing cold-like symptoms, or if someone close to you is exhibiting cold-like symptoms, stay at home for at least 2-3 weeks, until the symptoms disappear.
We also encourage you to come to the office by yourself. If you do choose to bring a family member or a friend with you, make sure your companion also wears a mask when entering the building.
